The Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, PKIET was established on the recommendation of Puducherry Technological University, in 2020 with an approved intake of 60 students. The admission to the undergraduate programme in the department is conducted through CENTAC, Puducherry.
The principal mission of the department is to formulate a very strong foundation in the various aspects of Biomedical Engineering and provide training in the contemporary areas such as Biosensors, Transducers, Control Systems and Instrumentation, Diagnostic Equipments and Therapeutic Instruments, Hospital Managements and Waste disposals, Embedded system, Telemetry, IOT etc.
